I Luv Suits poker offers a unique twist on the classic game for those who are looking for a new way to enjoy poker. Beginners may also enjoy learning how to play I Luv Suits poker since it brings a focus to the gameplay that may make it easier for some to master. Boot Hill Casino is proud to offer the game among its many other table games for players of all types to enjoy.

The Basics of I Luv Suits

The goal of I Luv Suits poker is to get the highest number of cards in the same suit. This is known as a flush. If two players have the same number of suited cards, the hand would be ranked by the value of the cards. For example, a flush with Jacks and Kings would be ranked higher than a flush with numbered cards. Straight flushes will also rank higher.

I Luv Suits Poker vs. Normal Poker

In “normal” poker, players have the opportunity to win through a variety of hand combinations, including straights, a full house, pairs, three and four-of-a-kind, and so on. In I Luv Suits poker, your options are limited to flushes and straight flushes.

In normal poker, players also have the opportunity to draw new cards to make a better hand. In I Luv Suits poker, the hand you’re dealt is the hand you play.

How to Play I Luv Suits

Each player must make the ante wager, the mandatory bet, before the cards are dealt. Game play begins with the dealer giving each player seven cards, face down. Players can evaluate their cards then make an additional wager, if they choose. Players who have a three or four-card flush can only bet up to 1x their ante. Players who have a five-card flush can bet 1x or 2x their ante. Players who have a six-card flush or higher can bet 1-3x their ante.

Once these bets are made, the cards are revealed. If you have a larger flush than the dealer, you win. The dealer must have at least a three-card flush with a 9 high to qualify to win. If the dealer does not qualify, your bet is returned and your ante is paid 1 to 1. If you win, you are paid 1 to 1 for both your ante and your bet. If you tie the dealer, your ante and play bet both push.

A flush rush bonus is available for those who have a flush or four or higher, and a super flush rush bonus is available for the person with the largest straight flush (minimum of three).

Strategies for Winning

Hand Selection and Position

Where you sit at the table makes no difference in terms of how much you bet since all players must pay the ante. However, if you sit further down the table, you have the advantage of seeing how other players bet so you have some indication of what they may be holding. You can then decide if your hand is good enough to bet or if you want to fold.

Bluffing and Reading Opponents

The advantage of I Luv Suits poker is that players are limited in how much they can bet based on what is in their hands. You can bluff by betting lower and luring people into a sense of safety.

Managing Your Bankroll

Always keep an eye on your bankroll. Know how much you want to spend when you start the game, and stick to it. If you are getting to the bottom of your bankroll, start betting smaller, and be prepared to stop if your bankroll runs out.
